Cowboy Poets of Idaho, Inc. (CPI) extends a friendly welcome to all those interested in the fascinating genre of cowboy poetry. Our aim is to keep alive the spirit of the old West through verse and song.

To preserve our western heritage, CPI presents tales and anecdotes by top-notch humorists, award-winning poets, and inspired musicians.

In conjunction with night shows, gatherings are presented throughout the year in which performers of all skill levels, and without regard to CPI membership, hone their craft; these are community events.

Our rules are simple:

Cowboy Poets of Idaho actively encourages educational activities as a way of preserving our Western heritage. An emphasis on poetry in the schools underscores CPI’s effort toward education as well as highlights our community-minded spirit.

We cordially invite you to visit this website often and to join us at an up-coming event as the opportunity allows.

  • Observe the allotted time limit.
  • Material must be “family friendly.”
